As East Carolina University officials continue to release details on the universityâs Spring 2021 Commencement on May 7, graduates speak on their hopes for the ceremonies as changes have been made to the event to align with COVID-19 guidelines.
Associate Vice Chancellor and Senior Operating Officer Chris Stansbury, who also sits as a co-chair on the commencement committee, said ECU students can expect to receive steady communication from ECU about commencement within the next few weeks. He said information will be released soon with guidelines on what personal items guests can bring into the stadium and specifics on individual ceremonies.
âI think we (ECU) did our best to make sure when we put a communication out. We would let them (graduates) know when the next one was coming and we always think thatâs really really important,â Stansbury said.
