Tribes sue Montana over lack of Native American history taught in public schools
Several Native tribes and advocacy groups claim the state is not upholding their duties under the Indian Education for All Act of 1999 that was designed to ensure public school students can get a quality education on the history of Native Americans in Montana.

(CN) Montana Native Americans claim their history and cultural heritage is not being preserved by their state’s public schools, according to a new lawsuit brought by five Indian nations and over a dozen students on Thursday.
