IVP and Shimmer Partner for Biometrics Launch

Mobile MR specialist IVP Research Labs has partnered with wearable insights tech firm Shimmer Research to launch a new biometrics solution, NeuroLynQ, using GSR and ECG readings to measure participant engagement and attention levels during in-person research.
IVP provides tech labs in facility, in-field and online to help researchers gain deeper insights and provide compelling visualization - solutions include usability, eye tracking and neuromarketing. The company works across the US, Europe and Canada where it boasts a large network of research facility partners. Shimmer, which is based in Dublin, Ireland, manufactures sensors and provides wearable technology for neuromarketing, and for clinical and academic research.

Kent Buckson, Rehoboth s beach patrol captain of 21 years, resigned Dec. 18 due to the change. He said it wasn t a good fit and claimed it was a violation of the city charter. He filed an appeal with the city commissioners, but they declined to hear his complaint.
A few weeks later, the city solicitor presented a plan to change the charter to the commissioners. It would clarify the city manager s ability to delegate supervisory powers freely.
Boston University taps Shimmer wearables for brain studies The trials, funded by the American Heart Association, will harness the company’s Verisense wearable sensor platform to examine brain-heart health links.
Shimmer Research, a provider of wearable sensors and technology, announced that Boston University’s (BU) School of Medicine will use its Verisense wearable sensing platform to monitor motion, activity and sleep in two brain health studies. The research is funded by the American Heart Association (AHA) in collaboration with philanthropist Bill Gates.
Geoffrey Gill, president of Shimmer Americas, told Outsourcing-Pharma that the project comes at an “exciting time” in the evolution of wearables and other technology in clinical trials.
