Perhaps the Denver Broncos most direct path back to the Super Bowl would be to acquire MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers from the Green Bay Packers. However, such an acquisition will not be easy.
Broncos GM George Paton will have to review John Elway’s notes on how he landed Hall-of-Fame quarterback Peyton Manning back in 2012. Paton faces an additional hurdle; the Packers do not want to part with the NFL s reigning MVP. Rodgers will have to compel the Packers to trade him, and so far, that final strong-arm move hasn t been made.
If Rodgers stands his ground and forces his way out of Green Bay, the cost to acquire him will be higher than the Rocky Mountains. Paton will likely have to surrender multiple first and second-round draft picks, as well as at least one high-quality starter.

The Milwaukee Brewers are set to recall infielder Keston Hiura from Triple-A Nashville, multiple outletsreported Monday.
The Brewers sent down Hiura on May 3 after an abysmal start to the season. But in his nine games at Nashville since taking some time off, Hiura is batting .438 with three home runs in 38 plate appearances.
Hiura, 24, opened the season hitting .152 with a homer and 32 strikeouts in 79 at-bats. Hiura played 21 games at first base and seven at second base. Daniel Vogelbach has had the lion’s share of games played at first in Hiura’s stead.

The latest episode of the Aaron Rodgers saga centers on a Rodgers text, the Denver Broncos and statements by Brett Favre. According to sources, Rodgers has mocked [Brian] Gutekunst in group chats with his teammates in Green Bay by referring to the GM as Jerry Krause. The late Krause, the general manager of the Chicago Bulls during their run of six NBA championships, was loathed by Michael Jordan for some personnel moves with which Jordan disagreed.

Round 1 of the 2021 NFL Draft was filled with drama and intrigue in Cleveland. We already knew who the Jacksonville Jaguars were going to take at one with the New York Jets locked in at two.
The drama started with the San Francisco 49ers at three after they moved up from the 12th selection. In the end, San Francisco added North Dakota State quarterback Trey Lance. He’s now in a great position. Meanwhile, the Chicago Bears got what might have been the steal of the draft.
On the other side, the Las Vegas Raiders and New York Giants made major reaches in Round 1 while the Green Bay Packers could be on the verge of losing their future Hall of Fame quarterback.
