The 60-year-old, who retired from the children s entertainment group in 2012, will perform with his band The Soul Movers in Sydney s Marrickville. Murray was released from St Vincent s Hospital in Sydney last month after undergoing surgery where a faulty aortic valve was replaced.

587 shares I was in hospital for a couple of weeks but I m going really well now. With open heart surgery it s a slow recovery process but after a couple of months I should be pretty good. I ll be back on stage next month and will probably take it easier than I have in the past.
Speaking to The Daily Telegraph on Monday, Murray said: I m doing pretty well, I got out of hospital last Wednesday and it s just a slow recovery. I get tired very easily but I m doing all of the rehab like walking and other exercises so it s all coming along
