Texas-San Antonio football coach Jeff Traylor has tested positive for COVID-19, leaving his status in doubt for the First Responders Bowl against No. 16 Louisiana-Lafayette on Saturday in Dallas.
If Traylor is unable to coach, associate head coach/offensive coordinator Barry Lunney Jr. will direct the Roadrunners (7-4).
The school said Traylor was notified Wednesday about a positive test. He has not experienced symptoms and is in self isolation.
Los Angeles Chargers tight end Hunter Henry was placed on the COVID-19 list.

University of Texas-San Antonio football coach Jeff Traylor tested positive for COVID-19, the school announced earlier this afternoon.
Traylor received the positive result on Wednesday during routine testing protocols. He is now in isolation and is not experiencing any symptoms, the school said.
UTSA and Louisiana s Ragin Cajuns are set to play in the SERVPRO First Responders Bowl this Saturday in Dallas.
If Traylor is not cleared to travel with the team, associate head coach and offensive coordinator Barry Lunney Jr. will serve as acting head coach for the game.
Traylor is in his first year as head coach of the UTSA Roadrunners. The team went 7-4 during the regular season and are making just the second bowl game in school history. The UTSA program only began in 2011, however.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas (KTRE) - East Texas native and current UT-San Antonio head coach Jeff Traylor has tested positive for COVID-19.
The UTSA athletic program announced the news Wednesday night. Traylor tested positive following a regularly scheduled test. A statement from the program said Traylor has no symptoms at this time.
The Roadrunners finished the year 7-4 in their first year with Traylor as their coach. The team is set to play in the SERVPRO First Responder Bowl in Dallas this weekend against the 16th ranked Louisiana Ragin Cajuns. The game is still on as of Wednesday night.
