Detroit Tigers fans have been saying it for years. Put Lou Whitaker in the Hall of Fame.
But even with fans constantly campaigning, “Sweet Lou” still hasn’t been selected for baseball’s highest honor despite having a Rookie of the Year, five MLB All-Star selections, four Silver Sluggers and three Gold Gloves on his resume.
