Davis is the best college position player available, the high school shortstops also would be attractive and there are rumblings Boston could cut a deal with a lesser college bat to save money to spend big later. The U of L men’s golf team is geared up for round one of the NCAA Championships.

Few things have ever been more up my alley than the Ken Burns documentary on Muhammad Ali that is coming this fall.
1. Louisville has good pieces in the backcourt, but as I’ve said, I still think the Cards could use a drink-stirring creator with some athleticism in the mix. One Big Thought: El Ellis Is Getting the Keys
We know the ins and outs of Louisville’s stagnant offense this past season:
1. With only two effective guards playing the vast majority of minutes, the Cardinals didn’t feel confident running their transition offense as much off defensive rebounds and turnovers out of fear of fatiguing David Johnson and Carlik Jones. Louisville ranked 300th in the nation in adjusted tempo, according to KenPom. This pained Chris Mack, whose best Xavier teams ranked 32nd and 62nd in the nation in adjusted tempo.
Jim DuPlessisâ recent announcement of plans to step aside from his position in the state House of Representatives at the conclusion of his fourth term has created a buzz in some political circles.
An open legislative seat typically gives rise to speculation about political interests and aspirations around the community. While it may be weeks or months before any names are known, this is an appropriate time to remind would-be officeholders that all 100 seats in the state House will be open in the 2020 election cycle as well as half of the state Senate.
Thatâs the system we are blessed to have at the federal, state and local levels. Elected officials can be replaced at regular intervals.
