Two West Melbourne sisters, Noemi Hammen, 61, and Maria Ramirez, 58, died after their white Nissan was struck by a northbound black Mercedes-Benz, Palm Bay Police Lt. Jeff Spears said.
The deadly crash occurred about 7:15 p.m. Saturday near the southern entrance of the Palm Bay Shopping Center, which is anchored by Publix just south of Palm Bay Road.
