Officials with Capital Region Medical Center and Jefferson City Medical Group asked people who have already been vaccinated to take their names off of vaccine lists. A spokesman for JCMG said staff members are calling 20-30 people every day before finding a person who hasn t been vaccinated. Dr. Michelle Barg with Capital Region Medical Center said during the meeting many people are signing up for any and all vaccine lists. She urged people to follow up with those vaccine providers and their primary care physician to let them know if they have been vaccinated elsewhere.

Jefferson City Medical Group is now also calling for both a citywide and a countywide mandate, citing the growing body of scientific evidence suggesting that mask use can be the difference between life and death for some Americans.
