Miss Mexico, Andrea Meza, was crowned Miss Universe at the 69th annual pageant on Sunday (May 16).
“Viva Mexico!” host Mario López yelled out as the title came down to two finalists, Miss Mexico and Miss Brazil, Julia Gama. Miss Peru, Janick Maceta Del Castillo was second runner-up.

Andrea Meza from Mexico was crowned the title of Miss Universe 2021 this year. Whereas Adline Castelino was the third runner-up at this yearâs Miss Universe pageant, taking to Instagram, actress Celina Jaitly congratulated her for the feat and recalled her Miss Universe journey. Celina was also the third runner-up at the Miss Universe pageant in 2001. Sharing a throwback picture, Celina said that it took India two decades to âreach this position againâ.
She posted a collage on Instagram with her and Castelino s photo from the beauty pageant and captioned it as, When I became Ms Universe 2001 - Runners Up, I did not realise it would take 20 years for India to reach this position again,â she wrote, adding, âHearty congratulations to @adline castelinofficial on nailing the runners up for India, congratulations @missdivaorg @missindiaorg Its great to see India back in the game. @missuniverse #india #m
In an earlier post after the pageant, Rabiya said, “It was such a beautiful moment to represent you, Philippines. I am forever honored to be part of the legacy of our history. Rabiya bowed out early in the 69th Miss Universe, finishing her stint as one of the Top 21. During preliminaries, Rabiya lit up the stage in a yellow sun-inspired evening gown created by Furne One. She showed total Pinoy pride at the National Costume competition in a show-stopping Philippine flag-inspired ensemble with 21kg-heavy wings. Rabiya also stole the show in a yellow two-piece bikini during the swimsuit preliminary competition.
