Nigeria’s leading construction company, Julius Berger Plc, won 8 new major construction projects for 2021, its company annual financials revealed. The company makes money by taking on construction projects from state and federal governments as well as corporations and private individuals.
According to information contained in its latest annual report, Julius Berger Plc won projects spanning the construction of flyovers, bridges, roads and buildings. These projects are expected to drive the company’s revenue growth for Full-Year 2021. Currently, the company has 13 ongoing projects and has secured 8 new projects, which are:
1. Department of Petroleum Resources, New Headquarters, Abuja which is estimated to cost a total of N35 billion.

Reptiles now roam freely in what was supposed to be the official residence of the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria after the N7 billion project became abandoned by the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA). Weeds have also overtaken the premises while the locked gates is already showing signs of wear and tear.
Awarded by ex-President Goodluck Jonathan’s, the moribund N7 billion worth project became stalled in 2013 after the refusal of the last Senate to accept a contract inflation sum by N9 billion.
The Nation is reporting that the builders have not been fully paid despite the release of the N7billion while 80 per cent completiin is yet to be achieved.
The Rivers State Government has commissioned more projects successfully completed and delivered well ahead of schedule in the State by the country’s engineering construction leader and most reliable infrastructures development partner, Julius Berger Nigeria Plc.
The completed and commissioned road projects, all well enabled with street lights for beauty and night time security, include William Jumbo Street, Ernest Ikoli Street, Eleme Street, Akasa Street and Obagi Street, comprised within the old Port Harcourt G.RA.
Simultaneously, the Rivers State Government also flagged off works for Julius Berger to commence the construction of two new and major infrastructural development projects. One of the new projects is the construction of Ngbuiitawo road in Emohwa Local Government Area where the Special Guest of Honour who did the flag off was His Excellency, Senator Gabriel Suswan former executive Governor of Benue State.
