A hearing took place today, Tuesday, March 16 into the death of Daniel Klepper, who died after being in collision with a white Citroen on the St Helens Linkway. Daniel, described by his family as funny and kind , was trying to cross the northbound carriageway at the junction with Chapel Lane, Rainhill while walking his beloved dog Benson.

A 22-year-old man was killed while crossing a dual-carriageway with his dog and getting stuck in the middle, an inquest heard today. Daniel Klepper tried to cross the 60mph St Helens Linkway in Rainhill before the accident two years ago. Bootle Town Hall was told how the garage attendant had ventured to the middle of the fast-moving road, but then hesitated, and stepped back into traffic.

Tributes have flooded in for a fun-loving chef after his sudden death, aged 39.
Karl Goffett took his own life at his home in Southport last August after battles with mental health.
At his inquest on Wednesday, February 10, the court was told Karl fell from the window of a property on Scarisbrick New Road, Southport.
The popular son, brother and uncle was known by many in the town and worked at the Hungry Horse pub on Southport waterfront.
