Just a week after the new Lund Park Community Group management committee was formed, a hugely-successful litter clean-up was staged at the Keighley park. More than 18 volunteers took part, including the town’s deputy mayor, Councillor Julie Adams. Support was also provided by ward officer Liz Horne. And Keighley Town Council provided materials including litter pickers, gloves and high-visibility tabards. The group’s secretary, Kamal Hussain, said: “As we come out of lockdown in the next few months there will be many families visiting Lund Park, so it’s important to ensure the park is clean, safe and welcoming for everyone.”
