Former Dutch pony team rider Micky Schelstraete has said goodbye to her junior rider s horse, Grand-Charmeur. The gelding has been sold to Florida, U.S.A.
Grand-Charmeur is a 10-year old Dutch warmblood gelding by Apache out of Proza (by Cocktail). He is bred by Mr. Heeren.

The horse was originally owned by Ad Valk, but Micky s parents Luc and Jonna Schelstraete acquired an ownership share in the bright bay when he was 4.
Under Jonna Schelstraete, the bright bay gelding placed fifth at the 2017 Pavo Cup Finals. They also competed at the CDI Compiegne in the 6-year old tests.

The 12-year old Hanoverian licensed stallion Bodyguard has moved to the Switzerland to become the new junior rider s horse for Austrian Paul Jöbstl.
Bodyguard is a 2009 born stallion by Burlington out of Power Girl JL (by Pik L x Grande x Pokal). He is bred at Brood Farm Frieling.
Licensed
Previously owned by Josef Wilbers of Ferienhof Stucker, the chestnut stallion was first licensed at the 2011 Hanoverian Stallion Licensing and approved for Rhineland a year later.
He did his 30-day stallion performance test in Neustadt/Dosse in the autumn of 2012 and scored 8.45 for dressage and 8.15 for show jumping, totalling 8.41 points.

From 2012 till 2015, Caroline-Marie Scheufele was one of the most prominent Swiss youth riders on the international scene. She twice represented her country at the European Junior Riders Championships and in 2015 she rode at Young Riders level. It was her last year in the CDI show ring.
After a five year break from competitive international dressage, the now 25-year old Scheufele is ready to make her come back with new horses, including the PSI auction horse Dante s Pearl.

Scheufele began riding at the age of 10 and had easy access to a professional dressage stable with her family home located next to Pamela and Ted Jonker s dressage yard.

For Belgian professional dressage rider Larissa Pauluis 2020 was an annus horribilis. Fortunately her rising Grand Prix horses Flambeau and Valentin have become the bright beacons of the new year and for her equestrian life, heralding light at the end of a dark tunnel.
Annus Horribilis
For many equestrian professionals the year 2020 has been a difficult one due to the corona pandemic. The majority of the competitions were cancelled, teaching students and traveling around was more burdensome due to lockdowns , and the sales of horses posed new challenges.
However that was nothing compared to the blow Larissa was dealt on 6 May 2020. Grégoire Naslin, her husband and the father of her two children Capucine and Joséphine, died unexpectedly from a cardiac arrest. He was 39 years old. Larissa was left alone with two kids to raise as a widow, a big equestrian yard to run, and horses to compete.

The 27-year old French Grand Prix rider Pauline Guillem has lept into the new year with a big move and career change, accepting a full-time job as resident rider at the dressage brood farm and stallion station Haras de Malleret in Le Pian Medoc, France.
As of 1 January 2021, Guillem has joined Haras de Malleret, working alongside Alfonso de la Chica Parras.
International Success
Pauline Guillem has walked the ideal path in the dressage education system for a young girl passionate about horses. She has been a successful French youth team rider, beginning on ponies and gradually moving up to Under 25 level.
