A NE Iowa Motorist is Charged in a Weekend Traffic Crash
An area man is being charged with causing a two-vehicle accident near West Union.
It happened just before 1pm Sunday (Feb. 7) at the intersection of Juniper Road and 240th Street, just north of West Union.
A car driven by 57 year old Larry Smith of Clermont, pulled out from a stop sign and collided with a car driven by 21 year old Maria Streif of West Union, causing her car to go into the ditch.

No one was injured, but Smith s 1997 Nissan Maxima was totaled, and Streif s 2014 Chevy Impala had $3,000 worth of damage.
But Baptiste tried to flee from the front passenger seat via gardens. He took off his clothes as he ran, but was soon arrested. Inner London Crown Court heard how the men carried out the incident at 6.50pm on July 3 last year in Dulwich.

Driver who fled police twice in one day facing multiple charges
ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. A driver who fled police twice on Thursday was arrested after the second pursuit from the Toll Road through South Bend, according to Indiana State Police.
Around 9:30 p.m., a trooper on the Toll Road noticed a vehicle at the Elkhart exit that matched the description of a vehicle that allegedly fled from police earlier in the day.
The trooper got behind the Dodge Avenger and a records check showed the license plate was false and fictitious, reports said.
The trooper attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle near the Mishawaka exit, but the Dodge briefly came to a stop before fleeing again, reports said.

Burnyzz Classic American Horse Power owners Josh and Brittanie Hart have shifted their collectible car enterprise into overdrive.
Burnyzz has grown over the past 10 years from a mobile car detail service to a five-building complex collectable car mecca that covers a square block on Baseline Road about a mile south of Maricamp Road.
The business, known simply as Burnyzz to area car enthusiasts and pronounced Bernie s, now employs 15 people. It s been a lot of work, Josh Hart said.
At Burnyzz, an enthusiast can buy a specialty car, like a one-owner 1967 Austin Healy or a 1956 Dodge Coronet with 49,000 original miles and have it modified to taste. Or they can bring in their late-model Mustang or Camaro for modification, said general manager Brian King.
