MERIDIAN, Idaho The winners of the St. Jude Dream Home, a Ford F-150, and club seats for a 2021 Boise State football game were announced on Sunday night.
The home is built by Berkeley Building Company and is located in the Calistoga Community.
This three-bedroom, three-bathroom and three-garage home features a finished garden level basement, a kitchen grotto and other upgrades including wood floors and cabinets.
The single-level, 2,422 square-foot home features a yoga studio with a built-in wellness bar, a primary bedroom suite with a spa experience bathroom, Tranquility by Trane healthy air system, a full guest wing with en suite bath and sitting area, and an outdoor water feature.
It s a diagnosis that no parent ever expects.
Becky recalled, “It’s horrible. It was stunning and horrible. Surreal. I thought I am not in this room, they are not talking to me. How did we get here, just earlier it was a normal day?”
The family headed immediately to St. Jude, where more clinical trials for cancer are developed than at any other children’s hospital in the United States. All treatment protocols, trials and research are freely shared.
Faced with a diagnosis that offered little hope, time with Sam was precious.

“He didn’t come home sick. If you’d didn’t know about the raging tumor in his head you wouldn’t think anything was wrong with him, Becky said. He played soccer and we traveled all summer long. We went on family vacations to the beach, I took him to see family in Georgia we went to Disneyworld.”
11th annual Patrick Warburton Celebrity Golf Tournament, which, in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, was held virtually and without a golf tournament this year.
Despite the limitations, the April 20 and 21 event, comprising its signature music performances and online auction, and including the
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
“We’re thrilled to have been able to bring in nearly $2 million for St. Jude even though we weren’t able to hold the event in-person this year,” said
Clarke Rheney, chairman of The Warburton. “It was incredible to see people bidding on our auction from all over the country many of whom have not been involved with The Warburton in the past. We are very pleased to have been able to reach new individuals with the inspiring stories of St. Jude through this virtual event, who were touched and inspired to donate.”
“We absolutely love the Dream Home Giveaway! The homes are always so beautiful and dreamy! It is truly a win-win for everyone. Someone wins a house! What!? And lives are saved. It really doesn’t get much better than that,” said Kaylee.
Kaylee’s story
In December 2014, Kaylee Chavez was only 10 years old. With bad headaches and no appetite, the family was told it was only a virus.
“One morning, she rolled over and got sick, too weak to even get out of bed,” said Kaylee’s Mom, Jen Chavez.
On December 5
th, the doctor saw a tumor on the CT scan and told the family that Kaylee would need brain surgery. Her odds of survival were only 50 percent. She survived the surgery, but her cancer had spread: There were spots on Kaylee’s spine. She was allowed to go home at Christmas but everyone was so worried it would be their last one with their beloved daughter.
