ECC to host virtual graduation for over 850 graduates May 21-22

Elgin Community College will hold three virtual ceremonies for the spring 2021 graduating classes. Students are assigned to the graduation ceremony based on the credentials earned. All ceremonies will stream at youtube.com/ElginSpartans.   The graduation ceremony honoring recipients of the Illinois High School Equivalency Certificate will premiere at 7 p.m. Friday, May 21. The guest speaker will be Juan Chavez, ECC HSE Class of 2018. On Saturday, May 22, ECC will debut the ceremony for career and technical education programs (associate of applied science degrees, vocational specialist certificates, and basic vocational specialist certificates) at 10 a.m. Taryn White, of Carpentersville, who will receive her Associate of Applied Science Welding degree, will be the student speaker for the ceremony.
