Senate President Pro Tempore Ralph G. Recto on Tuesday said the COVID-19 pandemic response by the Duterte administration would be a factor in the 2022 elections.

After a consecutive two six-year term as senator ending in mid-2022, Recto is constitutionally barred from seeking a third term.
Earlier, Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque was quoted as saying that a positive pandemic response by the Duterte would boost the chances of pro-administration bets in the 2022 polls.
