Dinosaurs return from extinction for Jurassic Quest Drive-Thru in Indianapolis

Updated: 8:40 PM EDT May 1, 2021 INDIANAPOLIS They lived over 200 million years ago and as kids, we could only dream of seeing one in real life. Now, you and your kids can see some dinosaurs over at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. More than 70 photorealistic dinosaurs have returned from extinction for the Jurassic Quest s herd of animatronic dinos – from the largest predators to playful baby dinos – are displayed in realistic scenes that allow guests to experience them roaring and moving as they drive through the tour. The dinosaurs were created in collaboration with paleontologists and a news release said each dinosaur was painstakingly replicated in every detail, from coloration to teeth size to textured skin, fur or feathers, drawing on the latest research about how we understand dinosaurs and ancient giants of the sea looked and moved.

Jurassic Park Fans: Dinosaur Drive-Thru Event in New England

We first told you about Jurassic Quest three years ago when the attraction was featured at the Mystic Aquarium in Connecticut and at the Rhode Island Convention Center. A year later, the attraction returned to New England, but only came as close as Hartford. Late last summer, during the pandemic, Jurassic Quest decided to return to the area yet again, but this time at a venue as big as its name: Gillette Stadium. The drive-thru attraction was such a hit that it extended its stay two weeks longer. Normally, that would pose a problem because it overlapped with the Patriots season, but with no fans being permitted to attend the games, it worked out well.
