Jujutsu Kaisenwas one of the biggest anime arrivals of last year, following the adventures of Yuji Itadori as he attempted to navigate the supernatural threats menacing the world while attending Jujutsu Tech, and fans are revisiting one of the most insane Easter Eggs wherein a scene from Lord of the Rings was brought into the series! Though there hasn t been an official
Lord of the Rings anime in the past, this episode of the popular Shonen franchise gave us a good look into what the characters from the popular trilogy might look like if they entered the world of anime!
The single best moment of this week s chapter of the School Exchange Event Arc isn t even something that really happens. It comes when, after the Tokyo and Kyoto teams sprint off to begin the Wacky Cursed Spirit Exorcism Race, Yuuji has to hold off Aoi s assault while the Panda and Megumi squads keep the pace. The fight itself is definitely the action highlight of the episode, with some well-implemented 2D/CG blending and solid choreography that shows off Aoi s immense strength, which Yuuji can barely keep up with. The best part of Episode 15 doesn t come from any of the punches or kicks that Yuuji and Aoi exchange, though. Rather, it s what occurs right after Aoi asks his customary mid-battle question: “What kind of girl is your type?” Yuuji is understandably baffled by this, but he humors his opponent, giving the same answer he provided back when he first joined up at Jujutsu Tech: “A tall woman with a big ass. Like Jennifer Lawrence.”

This new arc, of course, comes with a brand new set of opening and ending theme sequences for the anime as well. The new opening theme of the series is titled Vivid Vice as performed by Who-ya Extended. You can check that out in the video above from TOHO animation s official YouTube account. Kaisen Episode 14, and these kick off the Kyoto Goodwill Event arc which reintroduces some of the faces we saw during the first cour of the season along with plenty of new fighters. There will also be some major threats that were teased during the first few episodes that will be coming to light for this second half. That first set of episodes were really only scratching the surface of everything.
