JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir Congress and Apni Party delegations met the three-member Delimitation Commission on their arrival here on Thursday. While the Congress demanded restoration of statehood and democracy in Jammu and Kashmir, the Apni Party delegation highlighted the delay in initiating political process and conducting elections in the Union Territory of J&K. After meeting the commission, J&K Congress chief spokesperson Ravinder Sharma said the party delegation urged it to adopt a fair and transparent exercise and share the draft proposals in public domain for inputs by political parties and the public. “J&K is being run by the bureaucracy and bureaucrats. Bureaucracy may be performing well but it cannot be the substitute for democracy,” the Apni Party delegation informed the commission members.
