New Hilton Hotel Planned for Downtown

A parking lot on the southeast corner of the former Milwaukee Journal Sentinel complex would become a Tempo by Hilton hotel under a plan from HKS Holdings.
The proposed eight-story building for 915 N. Old World Third St. would contain 155 guest rooms, a ground-floor restaurant and rooftop bar. A prospective investment deck pitches its proximity to Fiserv Forum, the Wisconsin Center and other Westown neighborhood amenities.

While his name lives on at William Horlick High School on Rapids Drive and several blocks away at Horlick Athletic Field on High Street, today little is known about William Horlick, the man behind the name.
