Jeep didn t reveal any details about the 4xe, but we assume it will boast similar power as the Wrangler 4xe. For reference, that model produces 375 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque from a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder and electric motor combination. Jeep did reveal the base engine, a familiar 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 with 290 hp and 257 lb-ft of torque. The V6 provides a 6,200-pound towing capacity and an estimated class-leading driving range of nearly 500 miles.
A 5.7-liter Hemi V8 is the optional engine, producing 357 hp and 390 lb-ft of torque. Jeep says this engine will boast a 7,200-pound towing capacity with the ability to shut down four cylinders for greater efficiency.
