What does it mean to create a grand New York City apartment something equal in ambition and quality to the finest homes of the Gilded Age in the 21st century? AD100 designer Steven Volpe had the rare opportunity to explore those questions in the design of a 10,000-square-foot, full-floor apartment, with 13-foot ceilings, located in a slender, skyline-defining tower in midtown Manhattan.
