Justice for unborn called first foundational principle of pro-life movement

WASHINGTON (CNS) Supreme Knight Carl Anderson urged the pro-life movement to remain committed to four foundational principles: justice, truth, democracy and compassion. The first is our commitment to justice, he said, adding that since the day Moses returned from Mount Sinai with the Ten Commandments, we ve known that it is always wrong to intentionally kill an innocent human being. As Americans, we understand that this idea is at the heart of justice and our entire justice system. Because a government that will sanction the killing of the innocent is capable of sanctioning anything, he said in an address accepting the 2021 Pro-Life Legacy Award Jan. 29.

Was this because I simply have no interest in campfire sing-a-alongs with Republicans? It is not. I mean, I don t have any interest in doing that at all I think they are bad people but that is not why I thought it wasn t going to end well. Utah GOP Lawmakers Push to Protect Pregnant Women, Unborn Babies

31 Jan 2021 Republican-led states, such as Utah, are pushing for legislation that seeks to protect pregnant women and their unborn babies. Utah Rep. Brady Brammer (R) is sponsoring HB 113, a bill that would ensure biological fathers are financially responsible for half of the mother’s out-of-pocket pregnancy costs. The measure passed a Utah House committee Wednesday, 8-1. The Salt Lake Tribune said Brammer hopes the legislation increases “the responsibility for men in the bringing of life into the world.” “Oftentimes there’s this battle between pro-life and pro-choice where some of the pro-life positions really turn into a perception that it’s just anti-abortion,” Brammer told the state House Judiciary Committee on Wednesday. “I kind of got sick of those things and I thought what could we do that’s really a pro-life thing? … and so that’s where this bill came from.”
