OSU beats Wichita State, OU falls to Omaha in season debuts
No. 20 Oklahoma State earned a gritty 3-1 baseball win over Wichita State, and OU dropped a 6-3 contest to Omaha in the teams’ 2021 season debuts.
The Cowboys win over Wichita State was tough-fought, scoring all three of their runs in the first inning and allowing just one despite 11 Shocker hits. Garrett Kocis finished 2-for-5 and scored a run.
Parker Scott, Kale Davis, Justin Wrobleski and Brett Standlee all saw action on the mound. Parker earned the win and allowed the only run of the day.
Omaha scored two runs in seventh inning to take a 4-3 lead on OU. The Mavericks would plate two more runs in the last inning to coast to a 6-3 win.
