OXFORD, Miss. (WAFB) - The LSU Tigers (23-14, 5-11 SEC) scored three runs in the top of the seventh inning to upset No. 9 Ole Miss 5-4 at Swazye Field in Oxford, Miss. to take game one of the series.
Dylan Crews hit the go ahead two-run home run to take a 5-4 lead over Ole Miss in the seventh.

LSU center fielder Giovanni DiGiacomo went 3 for 4 and scored two runs in Tuesday night s 5-0 victory over UL-Monroe in Alex Box Stadium.
LSU scored runs in four of five innings it had multiple hits and eight Tigers’ pitchers combined for a 5-0 shutout of UL-Monroe Tuesday night at Alex Box Stadium.
Center fielder Giovanni DiGiacomo went 3 for 4 and scored two runs. LSU’s entire starting lineup had at least one base hit.

LSU picked up their fourth shutout of the year Tuesday night with their 5-0 victory over ULM.
Will Hellmers pitched a solid three innings where he gave up three hits but no runs, issuing no walks and striking out one.
“Everything was working, I guess,” Hellmers said. “I was locating the fastball tonight. If you can locate your fastball in the outer and inner third, good things are going to happen. So I think locating the fastball and being able to back them off with the changeup a little bit played a big role.”

Step back from the ledge Tiger fans, LSU did the improbable and won an SEC game.
The Tigers picked up their second conference game of the season with Friday evening’s 15-2 victory over Kentucky.
“It’s great to taste victory,” LSU head coach Paul Mainieri said.
“Tonight was a great all-around team win for us,” designated hitter Cade Beloso said. “It feels good to have a smile on my face.”
“It’s almost like a weight’s been lifted off our shoulder,” starting pitcher Landon Marceaux said.
Marceaux led the charge with another quality start, allowing two runs (one earned) in 7.1 innings of work where he allowed seven hits and struck out eight. He did not issue any walks.
