It has led to gigs as a sideman with some of the legends of jazz. He’s shared a stage with trumpet great Dizzy Gillespie, guitar maestro Larry Coryell and funk and soul composer Isaac Hayes, among others. He’s compiled a list of accolades that are too numerous to list here. He s been on Grammy-nominated recordings, performed on national television, played at legendary concert halls and jazz clubs.
He has worked consistently, a reflection of the work ethic and attitude he inherited from his grandparents and parents. He teaches in the master’s program at Temple University and serves as an artist in residence at Messiah College, balancing teaching and recording with gigging, almost constantly playing dates throughout the country. (Ironically, he hates flying.)
