Former NFL coach Jim Mora Jr. has been helping BamaCentral sort through it all the rhetoric and confusion, which have been in abundance this year with limited access, no combine and players opting out.
We ll close out out The Mora Minute segments with maybe the biggest question regarding the Alabama players in the draft, if you have to choose between wide receivers DeVonta Smith and Jaylen Waddle who gets the nod?

There s been a lot of talk about whether Christian Barmore should be a first-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
He s clearly the best defensive tackle available this year, although as a whole it s considered a very bad year for the position group.
The knock on him is that he s not considered the most coachable player. Barmore missed the start of the season due to a knee injury, and it took time for things to click.

Back on March 4, Arizona Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury said he did not know the status of right tackle Marcus Gilbert for the 2021 season. On Monday, Gilbert answered that question by announcing his retirement from the NFL on Twitter. Although my tenure with the Arizona Cardinals was short, I cherished my time in the Grand Canyon State, Gilbert posted. I wish Coach Kingsbury and the Arizona Cardinals the best of luck this season.
The Cardinals traded for Gilbert to take over at right tackle in March of 2019. Two seasons passed, and Gilbert never made his Cardinals debut. He tore his ACL prior to the 2019 season, then opted out of the 2020 campaign due to safety reasons regarding his health and the risk of contracting COVID-19.

There’s no guarantees, but it appears clear with the draft three days away that the Cardinals will select a cornerback in the first round of the draft Thursday. Unless they don’t.
Now, that last comment seems glib, but what we all should know by now, unless we have been residing on a different planet for previous drafts, is that the unexpected should be expected. The word “surprise” should
never be used when discussing a team’s pick.
The Cardinals’ slot at 16 in the middle of the first round only adds to the uncertainty.

The 2021 NFL Draft is just two days away, which is when we finally get our answer to which quarterback the San Francisco 49ers will take at No. 3.
The selection has been at the forefront of the football world since general manager John Lynch completed a trade with the Miami Dolphins to move up from No. 12 to third overall. We know the pick will be a quarterback and will likely be one of Mac Jones, Trey Lance or Justin Fields.
Jones has been getting the most buzz from NFL insiders to be the Niners’ pick. Lance continues to be discussed as the potential selection, while Fields is getting less hype by the day.
