A motion regarding the creation of a leash-free dog park in Clinton was deferred at the April 6 Central Huron Council meeting with councillors unable to support the motion until a further review can be undertaken.
The proposed areas for the dog park included Hawkins Park, Kinsmen Park and Sloman Park.

The project costs range from $14,500 in Hawkins or the Kinsmen Park to $10,100 in Sloman. Future costs for a cement pathway would, based on our 2020 pricing, would range from $300 in Hawkins, $1,350 in Kinsmen Park to $2,700 in Sloman.

Central Huron Mayor Jim Ginn has been selected to sit on a Western Ontario Wardens Caucus sub committee.
The local Mayor will be a member of the WOWC Economic Development Sub-committee.
WOWC represents 15 upper and single-tier municipalities in Southwestern Ontario representing more than 3 million residents.
Chair of the WOWC Warden George Cornell from the County of Simcoe was acclaimed as the Chair during a virtual meeting on February 5th.
