A 16-year-old was formally charged Tuesday with three counts of first-degree murder in adult court in the shooting death of a 17-year-old in Grandview.
Nazsier T. Robinson, also faces an attempted first-degree murder charge and two counts of aggravated battery with a firearm.
Sangamon County State s Attorney Dan Wright said first-degree murder cases are automatically transferred to adult court.
If convicted on all charges, Robinson could face up to life in prison, Wright said.
The shooting took place in the 2200 block of East Enterprise Avenue around 2 p.m. Thursday.
Robinson was found behind a nearby house and taken into custody by authorities.
