At Pocatello, a 35-point night from freshman Julian Bowie propelled the Indians to a 71-66 win over Bonneville.

âHeâs obviously skilled, but he can pass the ball really well and he doesnât force shots. He doesnât act like a freshman â heâs cool, calm and collected,â Pocatello coach Joe Green said of Bowie.
âHeâs getting better at slashing and getting to the rim. I watched him play for a while and I feel like heâs starting to develop.â
The Indians were up 15 at halftime but fell victim to some remarkable shot-making by Bonnevilleâs Carson Johnson, who scored 22 and helped pull the Bees within striking distance of Poky.
PRESTON 64, SUGAR-SALEM 26
At Preston, the Indians poured in 24 points in the first quarter and put the clamps on Sugar-Salem (1-6) en route to a 64-26 drubbing of the Diggers. In the process, the Indians (4-0) extended their winning streak to 26.

It was a balanced scoring effort from Preston, which got 12 points from Brecker Knapp, 10 apiece from Braden Hess and Cole Harris, eight from Tyler Lindhardt and seven from two more players. I liked our energy, Preston head coach Tyler Jones said. I thought it was a great start. We ve had some slow starts this year in our games and I thought our (defensive) pressure (was great). We got a lot of deflections, which led to easy baskets and transition baskets, and got us really going. And that was good to see because we haven t really done that in a game yet this year.
