Geneva Police investigating after graffiti with racial slurs and swastikas found on school playground

Created: May 03, 2021 07:15 PM GENEVA, N.Y. (WHEC) Geneva Police are investigating after they say racial graffiti was found and property was damaged at West Street Elementary School Sunday. Police say they found graffiti carved into the playground that included racial slurs, swastikas and other “indecent images” as well as the phrase “Bring the Nazi’s back” and that a window and a floodlight were damaged. Police say they canvassed the neighborhood thoroughly and reviewed surveillance video, and will be conducting several follow-up interviews as a result. Police say the playground has been cleaned up and the graffiti is no longer visible.

The Geneva Police Department says three people are in custody after a burglary, robbery, and kidnapping that took place on Monday night in the city. Police say the victim was held at gunpoint, kidnapped, tortured, and severely beaten with belts and cords, punched, and kicked in the face area and torso. The victim was also burned with a knife that was heated up by the suspects.
