Travis John, a member of the Seneca Nation, is just one of three men who had been allegedly arrested by the Cayuga Nation Police Department almost a year ago after a press conference spurred a brutal brawl on Sat., Feb. 29.
John had been reportedly charged for a single count of criminal trespass and assaulting a Cayuga Nation police officer.
Hajenhne Brown of the Onondaga Nation, had also been charged with the same crimes while Austin Glass, an Oneida Nation member, had been charged with damaging a Cayuga Nation police vehicle.
Free mobility screenings set for Feb. 18

Finger Lakes Health Rehabilitation Services will conduct free mobility screenings for patients ages 65 and older on Feb. 18 at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, 418 N. Main St., Penn Yan, and Geneva General Hospital, 196 North St.
The 30-minute screenings examine patients’ fall risk, strength deficits and balance issues. Tests take place in the rehabilitation department at Soldiers & Sailors and Garnsey Outpatient Rehabilitation Center at Geneva General.
Screenings are held on the third Thursdays of the month. Call 315-787-4570 to register for a screening in Geneva or 315-531-2577 in Penn Yan. Visit flhealth.org/events for information.

On Monday around 3 p.m. police arrested Michael J. Greco, 28, of Seneca Falls following a domestic incident and pursuit.
Around 1 p.m. the Seneca County 911 Center received a call reporting a physical domestic incident in a hotel parking lot. Upon arrival police located a female victim still on scene.
The male, identified as Greco had already left the scene. While interviewing the victim Greco returned. When police attempted to make contact with him he fled in his vehicle.

Finger Lakes Health Rehabilitation Services will be conducting a free monthly Community Mobility Screening Program on Thursday, January 21 in the rehabilitation department at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, 418 North Main Street, Penn Yan and at Garnsey Outpatient Rehabilitation Center at Geneva General Hospital, 196 North Street, Geneva.
This program is open to all individuals over the age of 65. The screening will measure participant’s scores on tests that predict their risk for falls, recognize strength deficits and balance issues as compared to peers.

Sheriff Tim Luce reports the arrest of two Romulus residents following an investigation into the death of a 3-year-old child.
On October 23rd, deputies and investigators responded to a residence on Ernsberger Road for the report of an unresponsive 3-year-old male. Deputies responded along with first responders from the Romulus Fire Department, North Seneca Ambulance, and South Seneca Ambulance – attempting extensive life-saving measures.
Luce says the child was ultimately transported to Geneva General Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
