Creswell High music students deliver an innovative performance during challenging times The COVID-19 pandemic may have shut things down, but it wasn’t enough to keep Creswell High School music students quiet. “It was pretty rough at first,” Creswell Schools Music Program director Sandi Green said. “The kids were really disappointed. There s a hard attitude shift to make, but they really couldn t be silent for long.” Springing from this need to sonically express and to keep students practicing, Green provided a broad project: Kids were assigned to develop and video themselves performing a song of their choosing on an instrument at their discretion. The result? A CHS compilation video where students perform personally inspired projects. Inclement conditions ended up creating an environment for an innovative undertaking.
