After a full month of spectacular shots, breath-taking photos and captured memories that our camera club members have shared, we wanted to put together a gallery to display some of their best work. Our camera club members take great pride in their photographs and every picture shows a stunning part of the towns we live in - whether it is taking a snap of the nature that surrounds us or fantastic landscapes of Ayrshire’s beautiful sunset’s. Now, it is time to give our talented members the recognition they deserve.
Ardrossan and Saltcoats Camera Club Starting with the Ardrossan and Saltcoats Camera Club, there were so many amazing photos to choose from, but these three really caught our eye.
Detroit Mayoral candidate Anthony Adams on Friday touted a crime reduction strategy that would bolster community intervention to stem violence and hopelessness.
Adams provided an overview of his crime plan before an audience of about a dozen residents and supporters in the parking lot of a gas station on the city s east side. We re dealing with issues of hopelessness in our community, Adams said. Until we begin to understand that we cannot deal with crime without addressing underlying issues of poverty, we will continuously be in a cycle of high crime rates, high poverty and high hopelessness.
