Newsmax late on Tuesday projected that Democrat Raphael Warnock had won one of two US Senate seats in the state of Georgia in a nail biter of an election that other news channels said was too close to call.
Newsmax called the race for Warnock over Republican Senator Kelly Loeffler “in consultation” with Decision Desk HQ, a company that provides voter data to news organisations, anchor Rob Schmitt said around 11:20 PM EST (0420 GMT). A second race between Republican Senator David Perdue and Jon Ossoff remained too close to call, Schmitt said.
