Mardi Gras Goes Digital for 2021
There is so much going on in February. This was supposed to be the year I made it down to New Orleans to experience a Mardi Gras parade. Due to the pandemic, the parades are canceled.
A friend explained the whole concept of the parades, krewes, and clubs. Who knew! I am already making plans for 2022! Until then, there are some great ways to celebrate Mardi Gras safely during a pandemic. A virtual celebration is at the top of the list.

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Despite the pandemic restrictions, music fans can still watch musicians perform at five local night clubs on New Year’s Eve, all from the comfort of home.
Actor John Goodman is hosting tonight’s “NYE in NOLA” event which aims to help local music venues and local talent.
It’s been a hard year for everyone, but the music industry has definitely taken a hit. Music venues had to close, musicians couldn’t perform for fans, and fans haven’t been able to enjoy a concert or live music even for most of the year. The virtual concerts will feature New Orleans music, and help the artists and venue owners make a little bit of income to end the year on a high note.
