ALBANY, N.Y. (WKBW) â New York State has renewed two restaurant-related executive orders that were set to expire.
One executive order allows for the purchase of alcohol for delivery/takeout from restaurants. The other requires food to be purchased with alcoholic beverages at restaurants.
The executive orders were set to expire but a spokesperson from Governor Cuomo s office confirmed to 7 Eyewitness News they have been renewed and extended until May 6th.
Restaurants are in favor of the to-go alcohol sales, and some local elected leaders previously introduced legislation in an attempt to make it permanent.

https://www.afinalwarning.com/488416.html (Natural News) Lawmakers in New York cried foul over a new piece of legislation that would allow state leaders to detain those identified as a “case, contact or carrier” of a contagious disease in the interest of protecting public health.
The legislation in question, Bill A416, was sponsored by State Assemblyman Noah Perry. Bill A416 would allow the governor or his or her delegates to detain a person who poses an “imminent and significant threat to public health” in a medical facility or some other facility designated by the governor. The bill did not actually mention COVID-19 nor cite specific criteria or locations for the detentions.
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo wants to allocate an additional 25-million dollars towards a program that has helped reduce food waste since the COVID pandemic started last spring. The food banks and farmers it would benefit say it’s very much needed.
The ‘Nourish New York’ program helps farmers and food banks manage excess product that would go unused while restaurants and schools are closed or limited in their operation due to COVID. So far, it s proven to be a massive boost for communities across the state.
From spring of last year through December 1st, the program resulted in $26.4 million in purchases equivalent to 17-million pounds of food. FeedMore Western New York Communications Director Catherine Schick said the additional aid allowed her agency, alone, to acquire 1.3 million pounds of food for distribution.
