TRU Colors founder releases statement on double homicide at son s home

Sunday, the founder of the brewery, George Taylor father of Taylor III responded to the murders of 21-year-old Bri-yanna Emily Williams and 29-year-old validated gang member, Koredreese Robert Tyson (who went by “Korry”). Tyson apparently had ties to the TRU Colors brand, according to Taylor’s response, which was posted to the brewery’s Twitter account, as first reported by WWAY. All three victims were sleeping in his son’s home on Providence Road when the incident occurred; Tyson had been living at the residence for a few months, according to the written statement. Taylor addressed the relationships of the victims to his family and business, as well as relayed his son’s reaction to events that transpired July 24.

New Hanover Sheriff s Office investigating double Homicide near Middle Sound

Two people are dead after a reports of a shooting inside a Middle Sound area home. Officers responded to a call from a victim inside the home at 6708 Providence Road around 5:40 a.m. The Sheriff s Office identified the two deceased victims as Koredreese Robert Tyson, 29, and Bri-yanna Emily Williams, 21. The woman who made the call, who had gunshot wounds in her chest, was transported to the hospital. The homeowner was also removed from the house. According to a Facebook post, the Sheriff s Office believes the double homicide was an isolated incident and there is no continued threat to the area. It s unclear if any suspects have been identified.
