Outdoor Spring Pottery And Craft Sale At Meetinghouse Clay

Meetinghouse Clay Center’s Spring Pottery & Craft Sale will feature some of its resident artists and students’ pottery, as well compatible crafts by artists from the Cape arts community. The sale will be held on Saturday, May 8, from 10 AM to 4 PM. Locally made pottery, jewelry, macramé wall hangings, and custom designed planters, planted by Ginnie Peterson, founder of Crocus Hill Studios, and a resident artist at the Meetinghouse will be available for purchase. While each of the invited artists expresses his or her own inspiration in craft, one theme emerges: Art should bring pleasure to daily life. Participating resident artists include Amy Eldridge, of Amy Eldridge Ceramics, whose functional platters, trays and mugs use motifs from land and sea, and Brenda Kerr whose 15 years of creating pottery have led to her current body of work featuring minimalist, clean-lined designs.
