A DETERMINED Oldbury man has completed a gruelling fitness challenge for charity after being inspired by his father. Daniel Jackson, along with pals Craig Hodgetts and Alan Harris, smashed a punishing 16-mile trek up and down the Pen Y Fan mountain – the highest peak in south Wales – complete with 35lbs of food and water strapped to their backs in aid of Dudley Stroke Association. Their fitness test - dubbed the SAS Fan Dance Challenge - has so far banked £3,744 for the charity, chosen after Daniel s dad George suffered a life-changing stroke. The three even completed the event in just three hours and 42 minutes - 33 minutes inside the SAS s challenge time for their efforts to officially count.
