Nedra Deckard, 25, charged with Conspiracy
Tristin Muncy, 24, charged with 1st Degree Arson and Felony Obstruction
On Saturday, May 22nd, Dodge County 911 operators received a call around midnight about a fire at the Captain D’s. According to the Georgia State Fire Marshal’s Office the fire damaged portions of the back wall, roof, and telephone lines at the restaurant.
“I commend my Fire Investigations Unit for their thorough work that led to the arrest of these individuals,” said Commissioner King. “The suspects were taken into custody by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office.”
Six people have been killed and 10 taken to a hospital after a liquid nitrogen leak at a food processing plant near Gainesville in the US state of Georgia, officials said.
Fire crews from Hall County and Gainesville responded to a report of burns at Prime Pak Foods around 10.12 a.m. Thursday, Zachary Brackett from Hall County Fire Services said.
Units arrived and found a large group of employees that had evacuated, along with multiple people who were experiencing medical emergencies in and around the facility, Mr Brackett said.

Six people were killed and 10 were taken to a hospital after a liquid nitrogen leak at a food processing plant in Gainesville, Georgia, officials said.

Five people died at the scene, Brackett said. One person died after arriving at Northeast Georgia Health System, a hospital spokesman said.

The Statham City Council will wait at least another month before voting on a rezoning request that would allow a large residential subdivision of more than 170 single-family homes south of Atlanta Highway in the downtown area.
The council voted Tuesday, Dec. 15, to table the request by Macas Development and the Mrs. Kurtz Moore and Jack Rivers Stapleton estates (property owners) to rezone 75.5 acres at 541 and 546 Moore Dr. for 174 single-family homes to be built on smaller lots than allowed under the current zoning. The developer had 197 homes included in the original application.
The council, which already held a public hearing on the request Dec. 3, after delaying that by a month, is now scheduled to hold a vote at its 7 p.m. Jan. 19 meeting.
