The Georgia Department of Public Health on Friday reported 2,265 additional confirmed cases of COVID-19. Of those cases, none were reported in the Southeast Georgia counties tracked by News4Jax.
As of Friday, a total of 814,820 confirmed cases had been reported by the state Department of Public Health.
The agency on Friday reported 20 additional confirmed deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the state’s total to 15,007 confirmed deaths since the start of the pandemic.

The Georgia Department of Public Health on Thursday reported 2,206 additional confirmed cases of COVID-19. Of those cases, 38 were reported in the Southeast Georgia counties tracked by News4Jax.
As of Thursday, a total of 812,612 confirmed cases had been reported by the state Department of Public Health.
The agency on Thursday reported 107 additional confirmed deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the state’s total to 14,989 confirmed deaths since the start of the pandemic.
According to the state Department of Public Health, 7,125,751 tests have been performed in the state, which had an 11.1% positivity rate, as of Thursday.
