COVID-19 indicators increase

During Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine’s Tuesday coronavirus news briefing, he said that 7,580 new cases of COVID-19 had been reported by the Ohio Department of Health, bringing the state’s cumulative total since March to 735,003.
On one hand, the ODH reported 104 deaths since Monday, bringing the death toll since March to more than 9,000, while on the other hand reporting that 596,221 people that contracted COVID-19 had experienced a full recovery.

New Covid cases, hospitalizations slow in Highland Co.

This graphic maps out the number of new COVID-19 cases each day in Highland County from March 1 to Dec. 21. The data is based on the date patients began to experience COVID-19 symptoms.

Highland County Health Commissioner Jared Warner reported a slight decrease in new COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations in the county as of Friday.
Warner said that, in the seven days preceding Friday, the health department saw between 22 and 35 new cases each day, or 401 new cases over the past two weeks.
