LAS VEGAS - Justin Herbertâs brilliant rookie season is now a record-setting campaign.
Herbert scored on 1-yard plunge to give the Los Angeles Chargers a 30-27 overtime victory over the Las Vegas Raiders on Thursday night.
âIt was pretty crazy,â said Herbert, who set an NFL rookie record with his seventh 300-yard game and has 27 passing scores on the year, tying Baker Mayfield (2018) for the most by a rookie in NFL history. âI kind of waited to see the replay and guys didnât really know what had happened. So I got up and started shaking hands and kind of saw the game was over.

Pass Rush
The lack of a pass rush has been a major issue all season long. The defensive line needs a massive upgrade. The player Gruden and Mayock should look at here is
Leonard Williams. We need someone who can come in and produce immediately and Williams is that guy.
Spending a high draft pick here isn t a bad idea but we need immediate production and that is a tall task for a rookie. Hankins is a free agent and he would be worth keeping as a nice run stuffer.
Herbert was 22 of 32 for 314 yards and two touchdowns against the Raiders. He has seven 300-yard games - which are the most for a rookie QB - and has tied Baker Mayfield’s 2018 mark with 27 touchdowns. He also has a league-high nine completions of 50 yards or more.
Even more important for the Chargers (5-9) is that they bounced back with two straight wins after their 45-0 loss to New England on Dec. 6.
“A couple weeks ago we got beat pretty bad,” tight end Hunter Henry said. “We’ve got a bunch of fighters. We got backed up into a corner but kept swinging.”

Fantasy Football Week 14 Matchup Notes: Key stats, injuries, notes to help with lineup dilemmas
Here s something to know about each game on the Week 14 slate. Dec 11, 2020 at 1:08 pm ET44 min read
Take a second to give yourself a pat on the back if you ve made it to the Fantasy Football playoffs during this crazy season. And even if you didn t the playoffs, well, you made it through 2020. I ll never be one of those people who will tweet or DM a professional athlete, talking smack to them about Fantasy sports (and you shouldn t either). But man, Christian McCaffrey burned us this year. I m sure he wants to be healthy and playing, but it s just been one of those lost seasons for him where injuries just keep snowballing. I finally had the luxury of drafting McCaffrey in two leagues this season, and then 2020 reared it s ugly head.
