Lower Paxton Township police said Shamont L. Sapp, 57, walked into the M&T Bank on the 4900 block of Jonestown Road around 12:07 p.m. and handed the teller a threatening note that said a robbery was taking place.
Sapp was handed an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene, police said. To evade arrest, police said Sapp threw the clothes he was wearing during the robbery into a dumpster at Herr and Clover streets.
