The Northeast Tennessee Parkinsonâs Support Group will meet at Lifestyle Fitness Center, 316 Marketplace Drive, on July 24 at 2 p.m.
Speakers will be Deb Fogle, senior services manager for Johnson Cityâs Parks and Recreation Department, and Jeanne Clarke, the community health activities coordinator at the Johnson City Senior Center.
They will talk about an ongoing program offered at the senior center called Delay the Disease.

Johnson City announced Thursday it would temporarily close most of its facilities with the exception of the tax and utility payment lobby and Municipal Court at City Hall and Johnson City Juvenile Court.
The city said in a press release that the closures will go into effect Friday, Dec. 18 until further notice. The city said all departments will remain fully operational and continue to provide services to city residents and businesses through online transactions, email and telephone.
Screening measures, including temperature checks, will remain in place at City Hall and Johnson City Juvenile Court. Visitors to these areas are required to wear masks and follow posted signage, which may include directions on how to access the building, where to wait and directional signage.
