Teen charged in drive-by shooting that sent El Paso school kids running for cover UPDATE, June 9: An El Paso teenager has been arrested and charged in a drive-by shooting earlier this month that police said resulted in children at a nearby elementary school running for cover as the gunfire rang out. 19–year-old Jesus Soto was booked into the downtown jail on two counts of deadly conduct and was being held on $500,000 bond, police announced Wednesday. Police gang unit investigators accuse Soto of firing multiple rounds into a home at 3813 Johnson Avenue in central El Paso on June 3 as he targeted two teens inside; neither was struck by the gunfire, which also prompted a lockout of nearby Travis Elementary School.
